Chico's Natural Pet Market is organizing this fundraiser.Urgent assistance required. Our business is currently facing severe financial hardships and we are currently involved in a legal battle to dispute an unjust eviction claim.

As a neurodivergent minority women business owner, I humbly request your support through a donation to help us settle our outstanding rent and halt the eviction process.

Furthermore, your contribution will enable us to secure the necessary funds for proper storefront signage, effective advertising, and ultimately, a grand opening that we truly deserve.

Chico's Natural Pet Market has been a part of our local community for over 10 years. During this time it has always been our goal to provide the community with the best quality products, advice, and most importantly to help animals.

We were forced by our landlord to relocate from our original space. It was promised that the move would be fairly quick and the new space would be as similar as possible to the original one. Neither was true. We were almost totally shut down for over a year. During that time all of our financial reserves were totally depleted.

After much delay, we finally received the new space. Despite it not being finished as promised, we were pressured into accepting it as is. To make matters worse, the landlord immediately demanded rent, refusing to give us time to set up and generate income before paying.

We were able to get a forbearance agreement in which we would be able to pay the first two months rent in installments. Even though it was a struggle, we managed to make these payments. The most recent payment was a few days late. The landlord used this as an excuse to cancel the agreement and now wants the total amount, plus other money that we do not owe them, all at once or we will be evicted.

We are attempting to fight this in court. This is why we very desperately need your help. We need money immediately to pay legal expenses and dispute the unfair way we have been treated. Please help us to get through this so we can continue to serve the animals of our community.
